Mission

Mission

My mission with Sun Web Studio is to enable you, the individual, organization, or small business to effectively and attractively bring your message, service, and/or product to the world, in your own voice, in ways unique to you.  My goal is to get my client up and running, show you how to make your own updates and changes behind the scenes, and then to get out of your way.  Of course, I’m still nearby if needed, but retreat into the background, as just the nuts and bolts person with some skills for graphics, audio, & customization, as far as your web presence goes.   You know and I know, that you are the one who can best tell your own story, expound your vision to your own customers, and to attract prospective new customers.

Method

The primary method I use at Sun Web Studio is to install what is called a “Content Management System”, which is menu-driven software that enables you, the client or client group, to update your own web site.   There are several open source (free) CMS programs available.  Wordpress is an extremely popular CMS, and many, although not all, of my web sites have been developed using WordPress.  Some have been developed with straight HTML.  Each CMS uses theme templates, and in the case of WordPress, there are many thousands to choose from.  Each template acts as a launching pad for customization, sometimes extensive, for your site.   There are also several ancillary scripts that are very nice and useful to call from within the CMS’s template.
